🌿 Part One: Protect My Peace During the Holidays

The holidays can be a season of joy, but they can also bring grief, tension, and quiet heartache. Sometimes, they hold all of those things at once.

As life changes and loved ones are lost, the holidays may no longer feel the same. What once brought excitement may now bring heaviness. And that’s okay. God never asks us to pretend—He invites us to come as we are.

This season, protecting your peace may mean letting go of expectations, stepping back from chaos, or creating small moments of comfort just for yourself. Peace doesn’t have to look like celebration. Sometimes, peace looks like rest.

Scripture reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18). Even here, even now, God is near.

Prayer:
God, help me release the pressure to feel a certain way this season. Meet me in my truth, cover me with Your peace, and remind me that rest is holy too. Amen.
